wishing facebook event invites app worked smarter 05/28/08
I have a lot of Facebook friends. 1,153 to be exact. I’m obviously a fan of the platform.
But what grinds my gears about the Facebook events application is that when I go to invite my friends to an event, like this Saturday’s District Trust Charities fundraiser, I should be able to select all of my friends (if I want). Or perhaps even more intuitively, segment my friends by their network so that for this event I’d only send to folks in the “Washington, DC” network.
Instead, I’m forced by Facebook to choose every person I want to invite through an alphabetized list by first name. Odd.
I hate eVite. Who doesn’t? But Facebook continues to miss this simple way to add more value to our lives by making it’s events application smarter.
