Wednesday Already? 08/27/08

Wednesday is nearly over and I haven’t been blogging much in this space. (Sorry Mom.) So where has the time gone?

Well…

I’ve spent a majority of my time accomplishing as much work as possible before I leave for the Republican National Convention next week.

I’ve been going back-and-forth with my real estate brokers on proposals from a few different spots in Georgetown.

I’ve been taking a photography class with Syed at Ritz Camera on how to better use my Nikon D300. To that end, I’ve got a new lens which I’ve been experimenting with around the office.

I’ve been training conservatives who work for non-profits how to better embrace the Internet for their organization.

I’ve been writing a Twitter 101 Guide that I hope to distribute freely tomorrow.

And I’ve been cooking (had a craving for spaghetti bolognese — my favorite) and reading a hilarious novel by Christopher Buckley, Boomsday.

So that’s essentially what I’ve been up to over the past few days.

Elizabeth 28.08.: At a loss for my own coherent twitter explanation, I distributed your twitter guide to some folks at the AARP who were asking about it … I think you did a really good job not just making it easy to understand but explaining why people would want to use it, which is where I find non-twitterers always the most skeptical.

Katherine 28.08.: Read Boomsday a few months ago. Strangely enough, the ideas where similar to parts of my thesis. Anyway, if you like it, try Little Green Men or Supreme Courtship. I am assuming you’ve read Thank You For Smoking?

@elizabeth — so funny that you’re a libertarian working at AARP. You should read Boomsday.

@katherine — Thanks for the heads. Actually have not read Thank You For Smoking but plan on it.

As for my next book, I’m starting “Good to Great” tonight by Jim Collins. It was a recommendation from a fellow entrepreneur who I look to for counsel as we grow.
