Robert. 06/21/08
I met Robert on 17th and P Street walking home from a late lunch at Circa. Robert was patiently sitting on a crate with a cup with only a little bit of silver in it.
His eyes were captivating and I really wanted to experiment to see how 12 million pixels made them look. I believe his eyes tell quite a story. Worn. Shot. Pain.
Robert thought I was shooting for a magazine but then started referring to me as a free-lancer. I merely smiled. He smiled back.
I never give money to panhandlers, but I did give Robert a $20 for being such a good sport and for helping me learn more about this hobby.
