When I was 25, I bought a motorcycle. It was a small, late-90s Suzuki GS 550 that I thought somewhat resembled a Ducati Monster.
The main problem for me with the bike was that I didn’t have any friends to ride with which can make it a pretty lonely hobby. Every person I met who had a bike was either a Harley fanboy or into “crotch-rockets.” When you don’t have friends to enjoy the freedom and fun of a motorcycle, the negatives outweigh the positives rather quickly.
Three months after I bought it – I sold it for exactly what I paid for it.
When it comes to a type of bike I like, I’m a fan of the standard, “naked” bikes like this early 80s Honda 350. Class. Character. Style. The bike has a story to tell but not everyone is willing to listen to find out what it is.
My buddy Mack picked up this gem for $900. I’ve got $900 if you find another one Mack.
