I’ve noticed that some of the happiest people I see/meet in New York are the bicycle cabbies. They love their job and it’s evident.
Unlike Washington, DC where every cabbie is either (1) talking on his cell phone (lame bluetooth headset of course) or, (2) listening to NPR (they’re always hoping to hear more about “Obama”), these bicycle cabbies just talk to their customers.
That’s probably good sometimes. But maybe not so good if you just want to get from one place to another quickly.
