I started DavidAllis in May 2008 as a place where I could update my friends and family with short, personal notes about the things I care about.

The name of the blog was a reaction to Facebook evolving status updates to remove the forced “is” that used to prefix every update. Therefore the title of every post is actually “David All is [insert title].”

It went dormant for some time and then came galloping back to serve a similar, but different role.

The views I express here are moments I want to reflect on, save for later and share with friends and family. They are not necessarily those of any of the companies or organizations that I’ve founded or have the honor of being a part of — I have a team of editors to help with those

I’ve retained the original, minimalist theme because it still works (even on a mobile device). The white space serves a purpose and the flecks of color are a reflection of my one-time affection for Flickr.
