a personal, micro blog called davidallis 05/27/08
Indeed, it is true: I have a lot of blogs (DAG, TechRepublican, Slatecard, and I sometimes blog at TechPresident). I blog in those spaces because I have something to say related to the focus of those blogs.
But the one place I’ve always wanted was a personal micro-blog.
A place to flesh out those Tweets and clever Facebook status updates. A place to write about the music I’m digging. A place to share my pics. A little place I’m going to enjoy looking back on 10 years from now and chuckle.
So this is it.
It’s called DavidAllis. Pretty simple. Not a lot of flash. Not a lot of lengthy content. Just short, sometimes wily bursts that I think are worth keeping in a little space I call my own.
But this space is not just for me. It’s for you too: my friends and colleagues.
A big thanks to one of my best friends, Matt Scantland, for helping me build it over a Sunday afternoon when the weather was really, really nice in Cincinnati. We still have some work to do but we’re almost there.
As soon as I get an iPhone (next month) I expect to keep it flowing early and often with pics and short blog posts from the road. When I’m in line getting that first iced coffee at Caribou – I’ll let you know about it sometimes. When I’m hanging with good friends at an insanely cool concert, I want you to be in on it.
Why? Because I can. (And so could you.)
So welcome to my little space. Please feel free to hang out from time-to-time and leave a comment or two. I’ll appreciate knowing who you are and that you care.
