12 seconds to support John McCain 09/25/08

There’s an interesting new video-sharing community which recently launched called 12Seconds.tv. The site is currently in phase “Alpha” which means that they limit the amount of users as they make changes on the site that you only find when folks start using it.

The general thrust of the site is a novel idea: Record a video from your laptop/desktop, attached video camera, or via mobile and upload it. The only hook is that you only get 12 seconds to do so. Their motto: “Keeping it pithy since 2008!

I’ve created my first video from my MacBook Air laptop from the DAG HQ, “Supporting John McCain.

There are some obvious audio issues that may or may not be an issue with the website itself. I’m going to poke around and make sure I have the settings right.

But the idea of creating short, 12 second videos that can be shared with friends quickly and easily is a unique bite of the web video apple worth investigating and figuring out how I’d use it for political/practical purposes.
